I hear the Junior Parker in there and it's good...but Junior Parker's voice was just dripping and glistening with soul...natural soul...this is good, though but more of an trained exercise than a gem being polished for the first time...it's hard to be unique in covers...his sustained "well"-yelling is a little too much...

Derek's been on loads of CDs. He also produces. He produced all of Toni Price's CDs and plays on them. Not sure if he's ever done his own CD, though. He plays all over Austin. You can usually catch him on Tuesday nights at Antone's.

This is a Magic Sam arrangement mixed in with a John Lee Hooker/Jr. Parker thing and they do it ok but not even close to any of the real original stuff...

This is bad stuff. Love Derek O'Brien's jamming. Does he have any CD's of his own that you know of? I have Willie Nelson's Milk Cow Blues and Derek is great on it. Keep up the good work.
