Great to see this here. I was there, I'd climbed up the top of one of the spotlight towers in front of the stage. As I remember it Johnny had em eating out of his hand less than half way through the first song. It was the most momentous part of the festival in my opinion. I was IMPRESSED. I must confess however, to being the moron who started the can fight during Billy Thorpe's gig. Sorry if anyone reading this was hit !!!

We were ducking rotten eggs & tomatoes for the first couple of songs. - So I for one was glad he killed em cos thats what I thought the crowd was going to do to us.

Not for the first 5 minutes - They threw eggs & tomatoes at us - it was pretty scarey for a while - I dont think they liked us in white suits. Thats me on Johnnys left ( Stage Right) but yes - he had great charisma & absolutely killed them. He always did till he killed himself.
