Just out of coincidence, I was reading the video discription and saw the "when to watch" recommendation. I checked the clock and, you know what? It was exactly 00.04 (midnight)

If you'd like to know more about this piece and the artist who created it, there's an excellent article in the New Yorker: "How Christian Marclay Created 'The Clock'". I can't post a link here, but you should be able to find it if you Google "new yorker marclay clock"

Apparently not....wow, how the hell did he do this? Catalog every clock scene in every movie??? I would actually go see this. It's fascinating!

My college is right by MoMa and I went last week too. I wasn't impressed with most of the pieces I saw. The Clock was a masterpiece. I loved the mash ups of different genres and languages translating through different periods of time. It was amazing.

Fantastic. I went to MOMA. I decided to check The Clock for 10 minutes. I spent more than an hour. Amazed. Spellbound. Great work. There are rumors that MOMA-NY and the LA Museum of Art paid a little under USD $ 500.000 to buy their own copies for the few copies made available. Money well spent!
