If one saw the early ones with Honor Blackman as Mrs. Cathy Gale, Steed's very first female partner ... a very beautiful blonde leather-clad judo expert herself ... then one would see that Tara King used quite a few judo techniques as Mrs. Gale. Very much in her style!

I have them all, I just need to find time to watch them! I've seen a lot of the Emma Peel era, and all the Linda era, but none of the Cathy era.

Yes she is ! For the stomach throw and the last images of the fight in the milk... But Linda was involved in every part of the fight, even in the milk !

I lucked out, about 3 years ago a company was selling the rest of their Avengers collection for they were about to receive further merchandise and need to get rid of what the had ... quick! So I was able to buy the whole entire series collection for a real sweet price, and believe me, I treasure them. They just don't make series like The Avengers anymore ... sadly enough!

Yeah, I agree with you, Carl! Lot of the episodes with Linda Thorson were pretty good, and she was very active and athletic in them, especially even in the episode "Noon: Doomsday". You should also check out the ones with Cathy Gale (Honor Blackman) who actually learned Judo for the role and also did her own stunts.

I especially loved the part where she threw the big guy over with her foot, using a judo technique known as the Tomoe-Nage, or Stomach Throw, which was was a technique I had used quite a bit years ago while studying judo, and you can actually throw a bigger oppenent like that despite me being an inch or two under 5 foot. The one I threw was 6 foot 2!
