This is my first test shoot with the Sony PMW-F3. I've only used cheap Nikon mount lenses with the MTF F3/Nikon-adapter. Towards the end of the piece there are some nice low light shots. Please note that the fastest lens I used was only f2.5 and most shots don't have any gain.

  • Yes, I was using SxS-cards. The fire twirler shots are my favourites too! I really can almost not tell the difference between the in-cam slow mo at 720p and the shots of the same guy at 1080p. The 720p overcrank is really good!

@deejaydubla - I have used my AI-S 50f1.4 some since I shot this and it gives very nice short depth of field. Not tack sharp at 1.4 though but with a nice organic look!

  • wow, so good i dont know what to say wish i had a dvd copy

  • is this sweden i was there this year... very beautiful place...

i was also in norway and Finland

i am from Recife in Brazil south america and i really liked this video. thanks for sharing that with us brazil from down here...

  • Love the slow motion with the fire twirler... we're you shooting onto SXS cards (720p)?

  • Very impressive. It's nice to know that you don't have to have a set of Zeiss primes to get some really great footage out of this camera - but you still have that option if you have the budget. I only wish that you had used a cheap f/1.4 for comparison. Still amazing what you got out the lens set you used. A real testament to the chip in that camera.

  • So good.

  • I believe you have better glass than you know, and may have over exposed more than you wanted. I loved the last few shots at the end, and I'm sure we will all come to know this F3 for the amazing night work it will be known for. Keep the glass and push the sensor more.

  • yes fairly soft on the lens some nice saturation and then some washout but it really does come down to the lens and aperature in my opinion. Even is still photography when I take out my cheaper Nikon lenses in the harsher conditions I notice a big difference in clearity and focus. Just one of those things I guess. The cam looks really good though in specs a tad expensive but I am sure it will be usefull for a few years to come

  • Amazing. even with cheap glass you can see this is an amazing camera.
