Okay so i saw the fighter, true grit, and the king's speech and although Melissa Leo did a fabulous, incredible job. I feel like Helena had this subtle and really genuine performance as the queen and she really did support Colin firth, so I think Helena's beautiful performance really trumped Melissa's. Even though i am still glad she won

imlovelyreally and dubq, it should be noted that 94 year old Kirk Douglas is a movie legend who started making major movies in the 1940's. He is the father of Michael Douglas and was nominated for an Oscar for "Lust for Life" and "Spartacus." He was given a special Academy Award in 1998. Melissa Leo was thrilled to have her Oscar presented to her by such a movie icon..
