  • Came across these guys back in college pre MTV, Friday Night videos I think. Saw some live footage and then dug around for albums which are still in my collection, Screaming Targets was the first.... very cool to find it here. brings back great memories....

  • @MeccaVideoPro I'm still surprised that some of our bands even gotten played on television in the US, let alone radio. I thought Screaming Targets was released in the States as simply a self-titled album with selected tracks.

  • @nzoz1977 I graduated HS in 1977, picked up the first album in say 1979 in a record store in the college student center after having seen them on TV. Before MTV it was a late night show that played videos. IIRC it was film from an outdoor festival and there were a few shots from the back of the stage out to the crowd. I had never heard of them before but loved sax in rock music and was hooked. (started playing myself years later and still do).Any truth to the Jordache Jeans commercial?

  • @MeccaVideoPro got no idea about the Jordache Jeans, but their hit 'Shape I'm In' was used for a Jenny Craig commercial. Their first album 'Don't Waste It' dates back to 1976.

  • I don't think this guy should be wearing tight shark-skin pants in prison - lol.

  • You reminded me that Joe Camileri (the singer) was friends with some underworld criminal figures in Australia... why, I don't know.

  • lil joey valentine if im not very much mistaken. vastly underplayed group these days. rock on

  • I loved that album so much, I can't believe it's out of print. The "Shape I'm In Complete Anthology" album helped a bit but that album was CLASSIC.

  • As a 'convent girl' in Sydney used to sneak into their gigs at 16 years old. The stage show made me blush, I tell ya!

  • kick ass!

  • One of Australia's great musos and bands

  • I need an 11 dial on my speakers :-)

  • @alanbstard4 ...me too!

  • Great clip - great memories. Saw them play many times when Wayne Burt was with them - he really shaped their sound, I reckon.
