Thanks for posting, but I remember seeing this in Christchurch when it first aired and being disgusted that the entire alt-rock scene was ignored in favour of professional nightclub covers acts and their slick promoters. Hell, surely the Axemen, Scorched Earth Policy, No Idea, the Triffids, the Onset-Offset label etc. was more to do with 'Christchurch rock 1984' than a bunch of lounge-bar entertainers who played the sort of slop you could hear in every other meat-market bar in the country.

Thanks Duncster, Great content. I Remember the Marine Tavern every other weekend for Louie & the Hotsticks. (did they even have a short stint at The Aranui?). Seem to remember Chills one night at the Star and Garter. The Wastrels on Durham St (pub)?
