  • No 15-1 Vikings?

  • @btm16 You also have to remember that the 1985 Chicago Bears were 15-1 as well. I'm sure there have been other teams who were also 15-1, so it's not as painful.

  • @Eclipton But at the time and still now they haven't won a Superbowl. Gary Anderson who was their kicker hadn't missed a field goal all season. But he missed a field goal in the NFC Championship that could have won the game for them. If that wasn't a painful loss I don't know what is. Watch "The Missing Ring" and you'll know what I mean.

  • @btm16 You make a good arguement concerning that NFC Championship game. I have seen the episode you're talking about. Believe me, this was a very hard list to come up with, because so many painful losses deserve to have a spot on the list. Maybe I should have made this list a Top 20 list since there's so many. Who knows, maybe NFL Network will do their own Top 10 Most Painful Losses. If they aren't doing that list right now, they should.

  • Where the hell was the Miracle in the Meadowlands II?!

  • @EnigmaHedgehog It was a very hard list to come up with because a lot of painful losses could have made the list. Of all the Top 10 lists I've done, this one was the hardest. I had to do it 4 or 5 times before I finally came up with a final Top 10 Most Painful Losses list. Yes, it probably could have made it on the list, but remember, everyone's list is different.

  • that he should retire because he felt that he would never win after that game. The Vikings should have been in that Super Bowl, all they had to do was have a hall of fame kicker kick a 39 yard field goal indoors and they would have won that game, although his hall of fame chances decreased when he missed that field goal.. Yes the defense didn't stop the Falcons but their defense was not asked to stop teams. And that's my top 10 painful losses list, love it or hate it.

  • (cont) lost because Marlon Mcree lost the football after he intercepted the pass from Tom Brady. But here's something that you may not know. Originally, Marty Schottenheimer didn't want to challenge that play, but Philp Rivers said he saw something on the replay so the play was challenged and they could have used a timeout on their final drive when they missed the field goal. And the #1 most painful loss of all time, The 1998 Vikings. That loss was so painful, it made Chris Crater think (cont.)

  • Okay here is my top 10 painful losses.#10- the fake spike game between the Dolphins and the Jets in 1994 #9- The Drive, the 1986 Cleveland Browns were a far superior team, yet they lost the game, #8, Miami at Kansas City in 1971.
