  • Well-done, Andrew! Though that first screen split makes it look like your head is breaking open. LOL!

  • Haha, yea, I was just playing around with the editing features on the software that came with my webcam... It's a little limited.

  • Thank you for this vid! I just got a dulcimer and this is a good work out!

  • Standard tuning is DAD.

  • what tuning is this? i just got a dulcimer, is there a standard tuning for it?

  • MORE! Perfect,. I'm almost through the whole song, and it's my first.

  • my dulcimer is tuned DAAA. Does that matter? Also, you put your fingers before each fret, I was putting mine after each one, so I guess that would make me have a weird sound, right? Thanks for the videos!

  • excellent! thank you for these. I will be watching every lesson that you offer.

If you would present your video UPSIDE DOWN on the parts where you show your finger work, it would appear to your students in the same position as their dulcimers.

    does that make sense??

  • i think so...

  • This is awesome, but I've come to really so much on my thumb!

  • is this in DAD turning?

  • Thank you Andrew for this, I like to learn all the different ways of playing so we are not all playing the exact same thing over & over. I do like Bing's thumb playing: a)I've damage hands. b)small hands, about one fret length smaller than the ave. woman(even though I have a short fret board), C)I like being able to hold a bass note of a cord while playing the melody string in many songs.

So thumbs aren't too bad :).

I'd use my elbows if I didn't have thumbs... anything to be able to play :P
