i love the funi gohan so waht he sound like a smoker i love it

Exckuding the Japanese voicing.
Android 16: Ocean
Cell: Funi
Gohan: Ocean
Mr. Satan: Ocean
Narrorator: Ocean
Piccolo: Ocean
Why did both English dubs have to add that stupid inner monologue for Gohan? Never mind that song is missing. Which I still feel pulls out the emotion of that scene. Its sound in conjunction to Gohan transforming was perfect. It's a gentle yet powerful song, like Gohan. Have it on my ipod. lol

Man the Japanese is leaps and bounds ahead of the ocean and funimation dubs. First of all the thoughts just ruin the moments and the shout/yell is just bad. Ithe background music makes it perfect but they ruined it with the thoughts. The Latin American is the best one I gaga say though

Ocean 16 sounds gay.

@SerenGetter I don't know what you mean by unnecessary dialogue. And tbh its hard to absorb the moment when there is a weird tune in the back. Thats like watching Goku transform and in the background you can hear 'Baby' by Justin Bieber.

Actually the most popular DBZ clips are from Latin America
In latin America (nearly all the countries there) had DBZ nearly a full decade before America got the show. Everybody watched it, Seriously.
Not to mention, they didn't skip Dragon Ball, nor did they censor the show like our dub does.
It is EXTREMLY popular there and it still airs on TV right now.
Here is the most popular DBZ vid on the internet. Its Spanish

The biggest problem with both english version is the unnecessary dialogue
Why can't they just you absorb the moment, instead of immediately stating what we just saw.

Best is Funimation english. Amazing soundtrack compared to the rest. More catchy as well. Only problem with the Japanese version is that the songs sound too karaoke which is weird because scenes like these should be angry/emotional not happy go! But still like the Japanese version because its original.

I've always preferred the Japanese version of DBZ. The Funi dub suffered from subpar voice acting and corny lines at times. Also, I never liked how the music was changed. It altered the tone of the show, and hence, drastically changed the viewing experience (for me, at least).
With that said, I'm not anti-Funi. I like some of their more recent dubs, but the DBZ dub just didn't do it for me. :x

Japanese > Funimation > Ocean
-
why didnt you use the music in funi dub?
-
@IMmaPicollo For nostalgic reasons they like it, it doesn't mean it's actually better.
The big majority of DBZ dubs are a joke, and only one or two can be taken seriously as the original script (Brazilian & Latin Spanish).
"Japanese audio" not "Japanese dub".
Japanese > Brazilian > Latin Spanish > everything else
in the funi dub Gohan sounds like he should lay off the smokes. But cell sounds pretty good, as well as 16. Japanese is still the best imo.

@JennNeko Yeah, Gohan at the old FUNimation dub smoked way too much and then he gained a chain-smoker vocal.
