I tried this recipe because I live abroad now and can't get christmas pudding.
I just added a little more brandy and glace cherries to the recipe and followed all your directions. I used a large rubber band instead of string to tie it. It turned out great and my family thought it was just as good as the M&S christmas pudding that we used to buy. Thanks for posting it.
The damndest recipe....."just dump everything in". Good lord, no help.
