His huge hands are distracting. He has beter hands than most NBA Centers, Phil Jackson called them "billion dollar hands" and he is right because with those hands, he could control the ball in traffic and after getting bumped and could make those tough layups and/or get the and one.
His hands as well as his upper body strength led him to taking shots that were within 15 feet and that is why his lifetime shooting percentage is so much higher than Kobe's, LeBron's and other great wing players'.
