The Effects of Globalization on Indian Cultural Values examines just that, the ways in which an ever-expanding flobal economy has influenced Indian culture. It was completed as part of a course on social documentaries taught by Justin Marquis during the spring of 2008.
I was sad when I heard the response about how the raised income levels means that you can go out, go to the cinema, go out to eat at restaurants, go to Dominos for a pizza, buy a bigger car or house. Straight after we have been told that the traditional values of India are being replaced. How long before all the great traditions of India are trampled on by western values. Western values are pretty screwed up. It would be a shame if India blindly followed the west into spiritual oblivion.
