  • Actually that's a 403

  • It is actually a 404.1369ci engine. I can post the mathematics if you would like. I appologize if I listed it wrong on other videos.

  • whats the bore and stroker. 318s can go 60 over and ive only seen 4 inch cranks unless uve got a race block coded 4104230. then u can go almost 160 over. 60 over and 4 inch crank is a 396 whats ur secret?

  • It's actually fairly simple. The block was checked and it had enough material on it to safely bore the cylinders out .100 (this is not a race block by the way, I only wish I could get my hands on one haha).

Stock bore is 3.91" + .100 = 4.01" bore. Factor that in with the 4" stroker crank and it comes to about 404ci.

If you are interested in building a magnum engine like this for yourself I can give you a list of parts that I put into my dakota engine (check my other videos).

  • dude. fuckin badass Durango. i got one too. and down the road, im looking for engine/tranny/maybe a rear end swap. any ideas? i was thinking maybe a 408 or even 350. i do like carb'd

  • How hard was the swap? Did you have to chop anything to make it fit? That seems like a nice little project for my 2000 5.2L Durango. I've always thought about it, but never thought it as logical. You just make me want to do it :P

  • I had 2 Durango's. A 98 4x4,318 and a 01 4x4 360. My 98 was a custom show trk and placed in every car show entered, twice at Garlitz. My 01 I had in Kuwait and belonged to the jeep club of Kuwait. I would out climb all jeeps but 1. I took some Kuwaioti kids for a drifting thing in their round abouts, light the tires in first and second was way to cool gettin rubber. Best dam MOPAR's I have had and I been racing them for nearly 50 years. Old body style is still the best.

  • UHHHHHHH NIGGA ! he was whippin dat shit !

    Good shit !

  • more like 400 horse.nice though.

  • I'm looking to try and beef up my 4.7l durango. Any ideas for some good power gains?

  • bad ass! but i dont get if your making 500hp why the tires wouldnt smoke more? when i do it in mine they light the fuck up and its a white cloud

  • hahah everytime i do donuts i feel like i'm gonna roll my durango, sure gets the heart goin

  • no sludged engine on this bad boy eh.

  • Go for it, out of every car/truck I've driven my Durango has been the most fun. Mine's doesn't have as much horsepower as this one, i'm only putting out about 440 but even stock the 5.9L is a beast.
