My name is Mark Stall and I'm a fine arts photographer in Milwaukee, WI. The Burke Brise Soleil, the movable, wing-like sun screen comprised of 72 steel fins, rests on top of the glass-enclosed reception hall and is raised and lowered to control both temperature and light in the structure. This Brise Soleil is opened and closed three times each day. As a fine arts photographer, it was something I wanted to do for a few years. I finally produced it last Saturday August 12. You can learn more about this one-of-a-kind building at http://www.arcspace.com/architects/calatrava/milwaukee_art_museum/

  • I've yet to see the Calatrava open/close it's wings, despite the fact I've been here almost 3 years. Something to put on my list I suppose. :)
