I kinda just joined the two previous videos together(hockey and conversion disorder) in the beginning and then there's a few newer clips of things that have happened along the way but basically I just wanted to let everyone know that I have made tremendous improvement and I owe it to everyones love and support. It really picked me up and I can't thank everyone enough! I've made some real huge steps to getting better! I have began working out a little bit, I mean going walking 1mph for 30 minutes haha. In addition, today was my first day I did not use a cane or walker once(I just do a lot of foot taps and leg shakes still haha)! Going through all this has really taught me how important each day really is to us, its shown me that there is more to life than a game and it has opened my eyes to see a whole new world. Having the disorder has given me the opportunity to express all the important lessons I've learnt over the years through hockey. I Can't wait to be healthy again!! Thank you everyone!

ps. Thought I'd let you all know, I still haven't heard from Ellen:( But it is okay, when I first uploaded the video I didn't even expect the support from everyone but now, I am just so thankful that it did and it just made me realize even more than before how important the people we have in our lives are.

  • Thank You I never thought to look on Youtube for other people who have experienced what I have gone through Thank You. My conversion disorder was brought on by an abusive relationship. :( It has been 8 years and I am so much better:)

  • Hi Danielle, my name is Lea (justmekielinen.blogspot.com ) and I also suffer from conversion disorder. I have created a blog regarding my struggles and others and have included your videos on my site. If any of you can relate please check out my site. I'm trying to create as much awareness as possible for this rare disorder. A disorder that seems to be very difficult to treat and find help for! I am also on Facebook under Just Me - Conversion Disorder

    thank you, Lea

  • Did you have seizures as well (or were the shakes considered seizures?) When I first started having seizures they said it was a conversion disorder to me and I never really learned much about it, except that it was not a fun thing to live with. I still have seizures everyday, like how it started 2 years ago but we've found out it's a seizure disorder compared to conversion disorder. I don't think a name of a disorder matters, what matters is the person going through it. You're an inspiration!

  • I love how this was put together. It's such a powerful message that you are trying to get across, and the opening quote fits perfectly. It adds such passion to this. I watched the first video as well. I hope everything is well with you and those close to you.

    Cheers

    Jennifer

  • You're amazing! You look so much more composed and happy than in your first video. I don't even know you, and yet I'm so proud of how you're pushing through this. Please know that there are so many people you've never met, and never will meet, that LOVE you. We're all cheering for you.
