I enjoyed watching this even if it is 4 years old. Some say you have to use a tension meter to do this. It would appear you don't. What are your finished prints like please?

Does this guy sound really patronising or is it just me?

You have to love the 99 cent store. I might cheat and buy a wood frame from the 99 cent store too. Thanks for the video.

A quick tip for stretching the screen evenly: if you've ever stretched canvas, the process is basically the same. Staple the top center of the screen, then the bottom center, then the left center, then the right. Then continue one staple to the right, then the left, etc. The key is to get the staples parallel for an even amount of tension.

this is impossible or im a rape victim?

I did not know. It's an amateur screen with low cost that works great.

I'm not a pro silk screen shop and don't need quality. I needed a screen that will work for a short run of shirts. Several years later I'm still using it!
It's pretty clear on the video what to do. Try it, it's not hard.

Nice video by the way, but when I staple the mesh onto the board, wouldn't the sides be uneven because one side might be tighter than the other side?

I did not have problems with unevenness. Not real sure what you mean "uneven"? You can buy a screen already framed if you can't make one.

you said that your friend uses smaller pieces of screen for other things like glass............please do a video....Im trying to do my own mugs! But I cant figure out how to do a screen or something for the mug to lay in?!??? Please help

She uses the finished screen on her mugs without a frame. Just lay your silkscreen on the mug or anything and squeegee the ink on. You may want to cut the surrounding screen bigger than your subject or mug so you don't get ink on it in the wrong place.. I would use a frame to make the screen and then cut it off and use it without a frame. You can buy frame less silkscreen online that's ready for your art. It may be hard to design and build a frame that fits a mug....but it should be do-able.
