In 2006, according to Wikileaks, Sweden *had their special forces steal a CIA jet* to stop the US's rendition program from running through their territory. Sweden has the #1 rank in the world for fundamental rights by the peer-reviewed World Justice Project. And on and on and on.

    And yes, many whistleblowers do go to jail when caught. Meanwhile, Assange sells the information they give him to newspapers, profitting off of their suffering.
