  • Soaking for 4-8 hours or 48 hours? can't hear it well in the video

  • @OriiiC Hi there - Yes, you will soak them for 4 to 8 hours. I usually begin soaking them just before bed. Enjoy!

  • You sold me ! Great video as always. I've been wanting to do the Chi seeds for over a year - have great medicinal values - and didn't know where to order them. And using the jar makes it sooooo easy ! I've place my order and can't wait to rec. Thanks for the video.

  • @PHOTOXITY Exciting! Sprouting is a wonderful way to incorporate nutrients into your diet. Chia seeds are a bit trickier to sprout and I don't recommend the jar method. However, you can soak them in water or tea for about an hour and drink them whole. They create a slime that is very beneficial for your digestive tract and mucus membranes. Try this recipe at: mountainroseblog (dot) com/hibiscus-berry-chia-tea Cheers, ~ Erin

  • Question: Do the sprouts need light to grow? My kitchen has no windows (it's a real cave). I could place the sprouts by the lanai door so there's light there but I wondered how important light is to the growing process/nutritional value? Thanks!

  • @alohaoh The sprouts need little to no light for sprouting. Some people actually prefer to sprout in a dark closet and then expose the sprouts to a little sunlight just before "harvest". Thanks for the great question! Cheers, Erin

  • why not take an elastic band and some cloth?

    :>)

  • @HotShotbg Drown them in water and shake them around in it with your hand, the husks will float to the top. But the husks are just insoluble fiber and nothing wrong with consuming them.

  • Thank you for your video...sprouting is good for an alkaline diet.

  • I have some canvass bags for only 12 dollars, hipsters. 2 for 20!

  • Great videos =)

  • One question. Does this work on regular seeds that you buy for cooking? Does it have to be sprouting seeds?

  • The best sprouter out on the market is the Handy Pantry Sprouter!

  • @mountainroseherbs I heard it 48 hours, and said that is too much time! thanx for clarifying...

  • So would any seed I get in the bulk foods department work, or does it need to be specifically sprouting seeds? And how do I know which seeds are raw--I assume they have to be raw? Are certain ones always raw? The labels don't always specify. Thanks from a sprouting virgin!

  • Stay away from commercially grown sprouts! Link to deaths from bacterial infections.
