  • Find a lake that isn't deep around the edges get a pair of waders or just go wading in the water. Go ahead of your dog. Dogs love to follow so use that to your advantage walk into the water and have your dog follow you make certain you dont get frustrated and make each session of swimming fun.

  • get him a kiddie pool and put him in it every day during the summer. Once he realizes how good it feels, he will like it.

    Once labs figure out that they know how to swim, you cannot keep them out of the water!

  • i wish i had of made more effort with mine when he was younger, Alfie my 9 month old lab is quite scared of water, The best we have ever achieved is his front feet in the water. I would love him to sim like that
