I don't know if he pioneered more... i like them both a lot ... Vangelis did not officialy go solo before 1973... back then Kraftwerk was already there with some albums... but their breaktrough was in 1974... i mean... i don't like to say one pioneered more than another because sometimes it's clear and true...but sometimes it's much more complex to find who done it before...i

And it's not only Kraftwerk and Vangelis but there's many other names who "pioneered" the genre in the early 70s...

uh that's cool... they were with Kraftwerk probably the 2 basis of electronic music... but everybody remember Kraftwerk and less people remember Tangerine Dream... maybe because sometimes they are spooky and impressive at the same time as in the spooky begining of "Ricochet" lp ...that i listened the other day...

If you've got a girlfriend who listen to modern r'n'b ...never i say never make her listen some of Tangerine Dream stufff...or she will run away and fall in the stairs ! :-p

waooowww... they're the masters of strangeland...what a weird musical flight... people who like those Transistors will probably more than appreciate cult band Tangerine Dream ...
