Fue el domingo 9 de febrero de 1964. Primera presentación de los Beatles en EUA. Los Beatles fueron vistos por 73 millones de telespectadores estadounidenses. Fue el programa más visto de la historia en ese momento y sigue siendo uno de los de mayor audiencia de todos los tiempos. Tanto que en el documental The Beatles Antology se narra cómo muchas calles se quedaron desiertas y cómo bajó el índice de delincuencia durante los 60 minutos que duró el programa.

@friendinpenn It's so funny when you watch the start of this and think it's a bunch of teeny boppers losing it for the Beatles, and then they show this woman who is at least in her 30's reacting the same way!

I was there at the Deauville Hotel that night visiting from Boston as a 17 year old. My friend's dad knew one of the doormen at the hotel and he got us tickets at the last minute. It was crazy. We were at the back of the room but I cannot pick myself out on the video.
