If we look back at every worship song ever written we can probably find a lot of shame. But its a good thing we don't worship the writer, We worship the God of the song. No matter who says "Jesus is the healer" the words are true Jesus is the Healer!

joyspel, remember one thing, that although the original author wrote it with a negative intention, its what the song means to you and that God is your healer, whether its emotional or physical and as long as Jesus healed you when u needed him....that's all that matters. :)

THIS SONG IS BEAUTIFUL BUT THE STORY AROUND IT IS JUST SO A SHAME THAT HILLSONG WAS OBLIGED TO STOP SINGING IT. AND SINCE I KNOW THAT THE WRITER LIED ABOUT HIS SICKNESS I AM NOT TOUCHED ANYMORE WHEN I SING IT

Brilliant song, but I'm afraid I prefer the original by Planetshakers. This version actually sounds off-tune because they have changed some of the chords. In any event, the God who hears and anoints us to worship is the same, but in my humanity, I think this ensemble should have left the song as it was. Bless you all, anyway.
