Empathy

This was the very first film I shot at the Armidale Film and Television School. On the very first day of term, we were asked to shoot a single shot Emotion, and mine was Empathy. Please comment!

I got it - the boy stops & takes a moment to see things from the perspective of the other?

It was okay I suppose. I don't see how it really portrays Empathy though. It was an assignment for a one shot- well, just in keeping with the assignment, let's look at how you could have maybe been more effective for future reference. This 50 second clip relied heavily on the guitar music in the back ground- watch it with no music on. Does it in any way portray empathy? But because you're trying to direct something here- think about what we SEE. Directing's a visual art my friend. Keep it up.
