  • Vactrol is actually an optoisolator/optocoupler trademark name belonging to the PerkinElmer Optoelectronics company, who has been making them for over twenty years.

  • Good stuff!! Outstanding presented!

  • Thanks for the very entertaining and informative demonstration Cynthiia !

  • @bassface17 Some women sound like that.

  • THANK YOU! I have never heard anyone explain anything so well! You should teach! Thanks alot.

  • @loschaofedmaro the most common use for an Optocoupler isolator in my experience is a to reduce noise for an analog application actually. There is no need for lots of names it is a LED + detector. Done.

  • @drwho9437 Actually; an Optocoupler or Isolator is almost digital device they have a very small analog range, these are analog and non linear.

  • What does this mean when a manufacturer is talking about Vactrol Filters? Also, is it ever used as a stabilization method for oscillators?

I don't know what I am talking about of course, but that last question randomly came up in a conversation, so I was curious.

  • why is yellow best ?.
