Written by Katherine Lee Bates. Elvis recorded this version on December 13, 1975 at the Las Vegas Hilton. He sang it many times in concert. It was the B-side to My Way. It is available on Elvis Aron Presley (The Silver Set) and Live in Las Vegas.

I love Elvis music, but I will have to disagree of the best America the Beautiful. Ray charles tops it Hands down . That being said, when Elvis sings The American Trilogy, along with many of his other greats, I have not heard non better,. He is the King, I agree, but Ray has him on this one.
