The turbo makes noise, yeah...but it doesn't seem to ever really light. The sound isn't right...

What are you talking about? You could hear the turbo scream from at least 50secs in unless thats something else?

What are you talking about? Looks to me like the engine doesn't have enough to light the turbo...hence the nitrous shots. The turbo didn't light until the last 5 seconds or so of the video.

it was a nitrous backfire- blew pieces of exhaust turbine into the ceiling too.

I agree, I would have liked to seen what it would have done had it held together. And yeah, temps must have been off the chart. Did you see the chunks in the celing? Wow.
