I have a question about the test results and the lp(a) number. What are the units measuring? Are both of the measurements referring to the lipid, or is the mass in reference to the lipid and the volume in reference to some solution? Rather, is this measuring some density or some molality?

I've heard there are many side effects of statins.

If the raw data tells us anything, people with higher cholesterol levels live longer, and this makes sense for a couple reasons. Our brains comprise 20% of the total cholesterol in our body, and our brains are 70% fat. Cholesterol is also vital to the entire nervous system. In addition, cholesterol lines cell walls to prevent them from leaking and damage. Hence, it could be deduced logically that cholesterol slows down aging.

I DEFINITELY don't care either and say as much on my blog, Chris. Keep telling the truth! I had the NMR LipoProfile test and my LDL particle size is mostly the large, fluffy kind. WOO HOO!
