@rockyprime IIS server is what is called the WEB Server. IIS is used with Exchange if you would like to access the exchange server via the browser. Hope this helps!

Gonna add to Joepitt1991's issue. I'm running into the exact samr thing. The Event Viewer is giving me :
Microsoft Exchange couldn't read the Receive connector configuration because the directory is unavailable. The service will be stopped.
So the service is indeed starting, but stopping right away. Technet is saying that its because it can't communicate with the AD, but the problem on MY end anyway, is AD is on the same machine

IPv6 is required if you are install on 2008 Server. These demo were built on a 2003 platform. The prereqs are different on 03 than 08.
