I haven't seen this in years. I remember well when I saw this as a kid how frightening those scenes were the way Sylvester's desperation is played out, even though I didn't know this was a parody of AA. Seeing it again, it's still scary. It's humor, sure, but the cartoon really played up the tunnel of addiction with some serious edge, it feels like. Pretty bold for its day.
