There are websites where you can input a YouTube link and download the video to your hard drive. Here is one that I have used in the past: kcoolonline (do a Google search for it)
When you have downloaded the video, upload it to your own channel. You copy the sidebar notes and paste them into that area (though url links often get cut off).
I use Firefox as my browser, so I have an add-in installed called "Download Helper" that allows me to download without using one of the download websites.
