These "packet ships" (named for their delivery of mail "packets") were infamous for keeping to their disciplined schedules. @HermesTrixmegistos As shanty songs were made up by the shanty man there would be many variations to the lyrics depending on who was singing them. I tend to look up lyrics from as many sources as I can before uploading songs I have not already got in my repertoire, and even adding to verses of ones I do have when possible.
