Nick J Story- life that leads a mistake... S2 Ch.2

Mrs. Jonas: oh my god!
Mr. Jonas: FRANKLIN!
Joe: Frankie!
Mrs. Jonas: OKAY, me and your father will look on the next two levels, Joe you look on this floor, Kevin and Amanda, you two ask the front desk, and look outside.
Nick: uhm, what about me?
Mrs. Jonas: oh sweetie, youve got a baby to take care of.
Nick: but, hes my brother?
Joe: come with me.
Joe snatched Nick next to him, as he began running.
Joe: have you seen Frankie at all today?
Nick: uhm yeah, I saw him once but I couldnt talk to him because Alex was going into labor.
Joe: true. Well where would an 8 year old go in a hospital.
Nick: uh cafeteria?
Joe: oooh, smart thinking bro.
The two of them raced to the cafeteria calling Frankies name.
They soon reached the beige room full of patients, and doctors eating their lunch.
Nick and Joe looked around for Frankie, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Nick rushed out of the cafeteria with Joe behind him. They were running all around the hospital, searching for a tiny boy with brown hair.
Nick: Joe?
Joe: yeah?
Nick: I know this is kind of weird to say right now, but can we run to the nursery quickly, I want to check on Lila.
Joe smiled at Nick.
Joe: of course you do.
Nick smiled slightly embarrassed.
Joe: lets go. This is the first time I can see my niece!
Joe: oh my god.
Joe stopped in his footsteps as Nick began to walk towards the nursery.
Nick turned around to Joe.
Nick: what?
Joe: I have a niece.
Nick: yeah, and I have a daughter.
The two of them stood there staring at each other, disbelieving it.
Joe: wow.
Nick: come here.
Joe and Nick hugged each other.
Joe: TIME TO GO SEE MY NIECE!
The two of them raced down to the nursery.
There was a little boy standing in front of the window.
Joe: is that?
Nick: Frankie?
Joe: FRANKIE.
Joe ran over and picked Frankie up.
Joe: we were so worried about you!
Nick: yeah bro, whyd you go!
Frankie: I dont know.
Joe: you okay?
Frankie burst into tears and ran into Joes arms.
Joe: shhh, its okay. Dont cry.
Nick: bud, whats wrong?
Frankie: why would you care.
Nick was shocked by Frankies comment.
Nick: what is that suppose to mean?
Joe: yeah, whats going on?
Frankie: you have another little friend, why would you need me?
Nick: woah, Frankie. That other little friend Is my daughter, and you, youre my baby brother. I need you both.
Frankie: will you still have time for me?
Nick: of course! things will get really busy like being on tour, your gonna have to realize that though okay?
Frankie: okay
Nick: but you can help out? he said smiling.
Frankie: help out! With what! he said smiling even bigger
Nick: with the baby!
Frankie: I can!
Nick: of course you can!
Nick: wanna see her now?
Joe: YES
Nick and Frankie looked at Joe.
Joe: sorry. he said quietly.
Nick and Frankie laughed.
Nick picked Frankie up and pointed To Lila sleeping in her binkey in the nursery.
Frankie: SHES SO TINY!
Joe: wow Nick, how is that yours?
Nick: whatd you mean?
Joe: shes so cute, and your so not.
Nick: gee, thanks Joe.
