ASV always harped on about luck and having chances. The thing with ASV she never took them. Monica always had ASV on the ropes and she always had the final blow and knocked her out. Monica was a great player.

She used "luck" reffering to BOTH of them. If Arantxa would have won, she would use "luck" again.
I think Monica would have been SUCH a big threat all thru-out till age overtook her, IF she had managed to use her back hand freely. She always, overwhelmingly mostly, went with two hands even if she could barely reach it. One-armed would have changed her game for the greater. I loved Monica!

Reason 1,568 I never rooted for Arantxa Sanchez. She would've beena 1-slam fluke had it not been for Gunther Parche.
-
I was referring to ASV not to Steffi...
Monica was by far the superior player (when compared to ASV) and ASV's comments are nothing but tactless sour grapes.
-
she got lucky lol
if serena siad that , it wud be headline news lol
Disgraceful comments by ASV!
Their head to head records in and out of Grand Slams speaks for itself.
Everyone knows who the superior player was.
As for Monica not hitting the ball hard, that's laughable especially when coming from Arantxa Moonball Vicario.
