When u see such masterpieces as Unreal, it makes you wonder if any progress was made in gaming other than graphics!!? I mean look at the atmosphere, sounds, music, presentation of this game!! Everything from the menu fly-by to the actual game, just plain mind blowing! I remember when it first came out, my eyes couldn't blink when I first saw this in motion during the castle fly-by and heard the music!! Just plain genius this game was/is!

these texture sizes were not available until several years after the game was published. in fact, they were only available a few years *after* 3DFX was taken over by nvidia.
what I'd like to see is hi-res game play footage recorded while using a Savage S3 graphics chipset. I'd also like to see someone upload footage of bump mapping and per-pixel lighting enabled. of those I have seen only screen shots.
compare yours: new Unreal\System\DecayedS texture file size is now 1.03GB.
