ye----dolton's cover...i love this song!
-
Amazing!! Doltons cover right?
-
I would just like to clear this up for all those asking. It was originally written by Wayne Cochran. J Frank Wilson and the CC Riders are a cover of it, not the original writer. Pearl Jam is also a cover of Wayne Cochrans song.

Written in 1962 performed by the C.C riders .
Covered by pearl jam in 1998 and it took vedder a bit of time to convince the band to play it ...

Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders did it originally, but it didn't have too much success under that name
The covers that made it famous were by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers, and obviously the most know - Pearl Jam.
Amazing song. The lyrics are beautiful, the guitar is simple and peaceful, and anyone can sing and make it sound good!
There's been so many covers of it, and they never cease to amaze me - I think this is a gift of a song.
