  • thanks, its just got a k&n intake, I also have a 92 es300 5 speed so far its just got a new exhaust and a new intake, but its not close to done :) do u have any mods on your 92?

  • ok that "kirschty" account was my response but not my account, dont know whos account that is, it was already logged in.

  • hahah your not very smart, it a 1996 es300, its basically the same as a camry the V6 camry, its got a 1mz-fe engine same as the camry, and yes lexus is made by toyota, so its based off the camry, but its a lexus. And why would only the americans fall for it, theres more toyotas on the US roads than there are american cars. And why would i lie about having a 11 year old lexus. So just shut up, if you dont that the camry looks very simaler to the lexus es300, your dumb.

  • Arentiexclusive: Uh, what? 1) Go fuck yourself for the American comment.

    2) Platform sharing is common. Mercury Sable / Ford Taurus. GMC Savana / Chevrolet Express. Dodge Neon / Plymouth Neon. As the poster mentioned, the Lexus ES300 is essentially a Toyota Camry XLE with better suspension and a more luxurious interior.

  • what do u guys think about the avalon, same engine...

  • @ahanix1988 i get your point but you dont get my point,a morons not gonna pay a extra 15 grand for nothing when hes buying a camry or a lexus

  • Hell, just go to Wikipedia and look up Badge Engineering. The Camry/ES300 is no different from Plymouth/Dodge Neon, Chrysler Town & Country / Dodge Caravan, Chevrolet Express / GMC Savana, Ford Fusion / Mercury Milan, Ford Explorer / Mercury Mountaineer / Lincoln MKX, Chevy Venture / Pontiac Montana / Oldsmobile Silhouette, Saturn Sky / Pontiac Solstice, Pontiac Grand Am / Oldsmobile Alero... do you want me to go on? The upscale brands have more features but are the same vehicle underneath.

  • @Primer9 It's called platform sharing, as I mentioned earlier. What is the difference between a Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra? The Sierra has more options. You act like it's an accomplishment that the Lexus has a different headunit installed and a different seat bolted to the floor. "More room space"? Uh no, they both use the same platform.

  • @ahanix1988 if they were the same cars why are there 2 of them, the lexus has lexus qualities and the toyota is more standard, everything to better motor parts to suspension isnt basic components, lexus has a completely different stereo unit and dash then the toyota with more room space and power everything

  • @Primer9 Allow me to quote Edmunds "Like the ES 300s before it, this one was a midsize, front-wheel-drive sedan, heavily based on the Toyota Camry... The two shared most basic components" and specifically for 1996, "Based on the hugely successful Toyota Camry, the ES 300 is the 'entry-level' Lexus. "

  • @ahanix1988 even tho toyota makes lexus the es300 aint a camry lol. I have a 99 es300 coach and i couldnt ask for more where a toyota has everything standard

  • @Primer9 That is why I said ESSENTIALLY. The Lexus MAY have thicker windows, for example, to reduce wind noise. Based on it being their bottom-of-the-line model I doubt it though. I find the Camry-ES300 to be like a Ford Fusion / Mercury Milan / Lincoln MKZ. The Milan has more standard features, but nothing little else, while the Lincoln MKZ has a better engine and better silencing. A 1996 ES300 is not going to be significantly different from a 1996 Camry.

  • @ahanix1988 the es300 has more then that, it has a tuned engine and better parts for less noise in the cabin and a huge list of features besides that

  • @saleem83

I have a 99 Avalon and I love it. Only thing I don't like is the suspension feels too soft.

  • talking to you, cheetah
