Not fun. I don't know about you, but I've never liked the sound of having a transplant of any kind. It just seems so invasive, if you know what I mean. That's just me though. God knows that there are braver people out there than me.

So do you know how to read Braille, or is your vision not so bad as to need it yet? I had to learn it a few years ago, just in case, but I haven't really used it since then. Better safe than sorry though, I guess.

  • @Cereghini Fuchs is hereditary and progressive, so I have had it all my life but it progresses slowly. If it gets really bad, it’s possible to get a cornea transplant. If that works out, it seems to solve most problems.

  • @ionayt

I've got a cataract in my left eye, and I have bilateral colobomas in both. In other words, my pupils weren't shaped properly, so instead of being round, they're tear-drop shaped, which means that I'm not getting as much light into my eyes as I need to, therefore reducing my vision. Yours sounds worse though, because if there's one thing I've never had much of a problem with, it's seeing colour. Detail, yes, but shape and colour have always been fairly solid. Were you born with yours?

  • @Cereghini I have cataracts and something called Fuchs endothelial dystrophy. What happens is that cells die off in your cornea. That effects your vision, contrast, colors, and so on. I am still in phase 1, but I think I have noticed colours becoming faded (as if you've washed something too often). Maybe that is why I didn't notice the green in AL's eyes. What kind of problems do you have with your eyes?
