Its that time of year when rational adults quake with fear, thats you know its Christmas.
Christmas trees, mistletoe, shoppers faces etched with woe, its another bloody Christmas
Theres paper hats, mince pies, odious relatives telling lies, children being sick from to much candy.
Turkey meat so dry and bland but you must eat till you cant stand, but at least theres port and brandy.

So once again its yuletide, let retailers take you for a ride, then youll know its Christmas.
Buying the expensive gifts not hard with access, visa and master card, its another bloody Christmas.
The tacky must have this years toy, theres one for a girl and one for a boy, thank god it it happens only once a year.
So its spend, spend, borrow more and spend, dont buck the current fiscal trend, but at leasts theres loads of wine and beer

Christmas starts in October now to appease the gods Hung Seng and Dow, so they know its Christmas.
2 pairs of socks a gaudy tie, thats just what i needed we all lie, its another bloody Christmas.
Plastic trees and plastic lights, drunken uncles starting fights, brandy wasted making pudding flame.
Hanging stockings at the end of your bed, bank statements all in red, lets drink some more brandy and champagne.

My god Im sick and tired of Christmas,
Its the same every bloody year.
Why do they torture us with Brussels sprouts
If its meant to me the best meal of the year?

So here we go once again two weeks of unmitigated pain, thats how you know its Christmas.
Dressing up as Santa Claus, boxing day with the in-laws, its another bloody Christmas.
TV specials filmed in July, explaining to children how reindeer can fly, Bling Crosby singing white Christmas. So pour another large drink, enjoy the sound of crystal clink, and have a very merry Christmas
