Some updates about the N.I.C. and some ruminations about Obama.
Thanks to everyone who gave me your suggestions about the N.I.C. Manifesto! You can check out the manifesto, as well as a Brief History of the N.I.C., over at www.newsincolor.com.
**Btw, at the end of this video, I meant to say something to the effect of "Have yourself an excellent, pimpalicious, holiday weekend!" As you'll see, that's not exactly what came out.

If you or I were president, I think perhaps we might have shown up on the scene a little earlier....hmm/ Perhaps we would have put in a call to other countries/corporations to help with the booming operations....Perhaps we might not have turned down help from outside sources...
Now I realize that BP was supposed to be technologically in the best position to close off the spill, but there seems to be something really klutzy about their whole response...

Obama is irrelevant now. He has proven this statement by his inaction on numerous situations (Not just the BP oil disaster).

Geez, presidents really can't handle any disasters that occur on the Gulf Coast can they??

Congratulations of your first novel! I don't think Obama is in a position to do a whole lot in terms of BP. Didn't they contribute heavily to his campaign.? Ah well. I enjoy your vlogs :o)

The sad thing is that I voted for what I saw as a populist Obama, man of and for the people. Where is his outrage at ending unemployment benefits? Where is his will to stop a war that is destroying soldiers and draining the monies that might go to alleviate suffering here at home?
I am scared to imagine how I might vote if a presidential election were held today.

I guess I am less surprised by Obama's lack of strenuous reaction to the spill. His actions in other matters have at least allowed businesses to avoid serious and just consequences. At worst, he has used his cabinet as tools to support the interests of wealthy industries. The oil spill is just another incident of his being . . . what . . . I can't decide - enamored by the corporations? Beholden to them?

Transparency and accountability (the healthcare debate being televises on c-span), I recall that being one of President Obama many promises, during his presidential campaign. I also recall Obama saying something to the effect that, the politics of the old would end...really.So, will there be a independent prosecutor to investigate the Congressman Sestak issue?
