Councillor Sue Brooks visited Fraser Island with researchers and rangers over the weekend and is satisfied the wild dogs are in a healthy state. After several hours on the island the coucillor also insists dingo collars aren't cruel.

  • Well said Malcolm. We will always have differing opinions about the dingo's status, but unfortunately when DERM continually colour the facts, the truth is difficult to get out there to the public. For the Govt to say there are over 200 dingoes is stretching the truth. We need to know why about 30 dingoes have been killed since Jan, and why does anyone need to know where the dingoes dens are ? Just look at the size of that collar, and Terry Harper says he wants the dingoes to live naturally.
