I can't see how a COPO can be called "Stock". That is like calling a Hemi Dart or Yenko Camaro "stock".

@reefblue331 hardly a "factory race car" but just a special order vehicle, like a decked out cadillac.lols.most the copo orders were biscanes and impala's with bbc heater delete, electric fuel pumps and such, street racer deluxes..one could "make" anything he wanted to race stock classes, long as they were running what was possible to order, not what actually was ordered on that particular car.hence our record setting formerly 6cyl/3speed Chevyll wagon refitted with a 327 4speed,

BOOBYDAVIS hit it on the head! The ZL-1 was a highlyadvanced engine and it was 11.50 capable if you took off the 15" polyglas tires and threw some decent rubber on them! And the same car went 150mph very quickly on top-end as well! OOOAHHHH!
