  • I used to do stuff like this when I was in high school working in a booth at a self-service gas station. I would set up the ash tray, pencil holder, books and other objects and turn them into a drum kit that I could play with pencils and pens. This was before I knew about Cage. It seems that he does what comes naturally to children, which to me, is a sign of courageous artistry.

    Great performance here!

  • This performance is fantastic! I love how the sheet music is camouflaged by the setting/performance.

  • listened to this in music

  • great stuff, one could maybe scale it to an office orchestra

  • John Cage is so good, when there's a steady beat in it!

  • is there a name for the second part, with the "Tiiime!" and the "Once upon a time"? i have been looking for a while "/

  • @secretpray3r It was notated very precisely, so John Cage would have known if it was messed up.

  • bravo !

  • LOVE IT!!!! no one would ever know if you messed up ;)
