@potatoface13 no what had happened was the bride and groom were sitting under the tree and i guess they got into a fight and so she said that she was gonna walk home and he said something like u cant walk home if ur barefoot and just threw her shoes in the tree so he went to a bar, talked to the bar tender, she told him to go apologize, so he did and ten i guess like a few years later they had a son and threw his first pair of shose into the tree too and that started everything.

saw this on that fearne and reggie explore america thingyma bob, didnt it start with a couple, and the woman didnt want to marry this bloke and the bloke said if you dont marry me i will throw your shoes into that tree? thats what i heard on the program a few years ago peacexx
