Acoustic blues 12-string

Well, a few months ago I heard some great music from this artist "Ledfoot", "Timothy Scott McConnell", I'm sort of a newbie on the guitar, and when it comes to open tunings I'm a complete idiot, however this is "a newbie-piece of music inspired by Ledfoot.. I'm aware of that I screwed up quite a bit at ¾ of this clip so turnoff your ears fore a few seconds ;)... (It's just improvisation so don't hate me for eventual rhythmic ore esthetical errors...) Comments on this clip and tips for good open tuning-lessons are appreciated!!!
