Funny.. I guarantee most of the people that commented have never heard Lupe's work.. I've heard every song from both artists, and both my favorite emcees of all time. but honestly. everybody is acting like it's impossible for the student to be better than the teacher. I mean I grew up listening to Lupe, but Food & Liquor is the best album I ever heard, better than Illmatic(yes, I know what I said lol). but that's my opinion, Everyone is entitled to their own. peace.

I don't know whos better but I think nas provided the platform for lupe so you really can't compare them, they rap different. They are both dope, it knida like a mentor student thing. My two fav. rappers.

@BranSWED lupe has not beaten Nas on a lyrical level. Nas at the age of 18 was better than Lupe Fiasco. Illmatic was recorded around Nas was 18-21. Have you heard of a track called Deja Vu, Nas was like 18 when he did it. lyrically i don't anyone can possibly touch him besides of rakim and Krs-ONE. but still lupe is dope lol
