My cat just sat there and watched for the whole film! He wasnt even that interested in my food and he loves pestering me for my food! how come it works so much?

@dest1ny3 I'm surprised it works this well! I put the animation together in a couple of hours for an experiment but I never thought it would obsess some cats as much as this :)

This is awesome! I'm wondering are you into animal psychology or did you just make this based on what your cat likes? My cat is 3 years old and has never shown an interest in the TV or computer screen. I've played bird videos and videos of other cats before and the only thing he does is sometimes look around the room at a cat noise. He was sitting on my lap when I played your video and he looked up immediately at the first bird call. He couldn't take his eyes off the rest of it! Great job!

My cat first tried finding the source of the noises by attempting to dig under my laptop. Then she started looking at the birds. Everything seemed to be going well till the beeping noise came at which point her tail puffed up and she ran away.

About an hour ago, I did the bird/squirrel videos with my cat and he stared a bit, went after the animal and left, real excited at times - others not. I came across a video called Entertain your cat! but that only made him try to stand on the laptop monitor until leaving bored. But after I sat my laptop in front of him with this video, he looked up at me, came up and thanked me, and then slowly tucked his arms under the laptop to have a better seat for the movie. He swore vengeance on that bird!
