@cerisewings I'd tell you but i'd be liable for one hell of a lawsuit. It isn't really provable and therefore, i'd probably just look like a loon.
I'm not trying to undermine you. The guy has made some great comedy. I understand why lots of people like him.

Why are people surprised when someone who has lived somewhere for a significant period of time is effected slightly by the accent of the region? I can only imagine that the people who display such incredulity never leave the tiny little area in which they were born and raised.

@fukdyamum i think its like that ex england manager who went to holland and did the press conference with a dutch accent, he's trying to fit in and please the people around him, so probably subconsciously he's adjusted his vowel sounds to american new york.
