The Source is notoriously unreliable; its membrane keypads were always a source of trouble. However it was Moog Music's first microprocessor controlled synthesizer.

if I had a synth like that I would never sell it, never !!
Naked with a moog... and a box of pasta ! :)
-
synthesizer with live-sounding drums!?!? D: Heresy!
-
@shawnster123 How much did you sell it for? And how much do these synths go for?
-
@MARANTZamp: I think the Minimoog would be considered the most popular synth for bass ever made. However, the Source has its fans. It's a nice sounding synth, slightly limited range but good sonics. The membrane switches are a cause for concern as is the lack of MIDI. These days a Moog Little Phatty is probably the smarter choice for similar money.

Nice synth bought one new, membrane switches not reliable, and I missed having the knobs in live use.Nice sounds though.

bullshit...it sounds just as moogish as the other moogs.
A lot of people consider it to be the best synth for bass ever made.

This is not like programming a DX-7, which is a nightmare.
Having the single function buttons on the moog source, is almost as quick/user-friendly as having the knobs.
I have synths with knobs, so I know what i'm talking about.
Plus, you only really need to edit ONE parameter at a time anyway....
Have you sell your Moog yet ?

It was used by Andrew Fletcher of Depeche Mode on their tours up until 1983. (from what I have read) Great little synth!
